About
Will Pass, DVM
A veterinarian who writes — working where rigor matters most: veterinary evidence synthesis, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and scientific writing a clinician or regulator can stand behind.
I’m a veterinarian and a professional medical writer — a rarer combination than it sounds. Most people who can read a veterinary clinical study can’t write it to publication standard, and most people who write to that standard don’t know the medicine.
That overlap is the whole point. My core work is veterinary: systematic reviews and evidence summaries across species and indications, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and clinician-facing white papers for animal-health companies and researchers. It’s detailed, judgment-heavy work — building a search strategy, appraising studies, and producing a referenced, audit-ready document that holds up to review.
Alongside that, I write for human medicine: reported medical journalism built on interviews with practising specialists in oncology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology, plus clinical manuscripts. It keeps me fluent in the standards editors and expert reviewers expect, and it’s a constant reminder that good medical writing comes down to accuracy and trust.

How I work
Accurate, referenced, and honest about fit
I scope clearly, work to your reporting standards, and keep proprietary data confidential. If a project isn’t the right match for me, I’ll say so rather than burn your timeline.
